Tighter Environmental Policies Drive Green Transformation of Anti-Rust Paint Series; Long-Lasting Pr
Driven by increasingly strict global environmental policies and the demand for long-lasting industrial equipment, anti-rust paint series products are accelerating their transformation toward green and long-lasting performance. Products with low VOC, water-based and high corrosion resistance have become the mainstream in the market, gradually replacing traditional solvent-based anti-rust paints and promoting the green upgrade of the industrial protection field. Industries such as steel structures, machinery and equipment, automotive parts, and marine engineering have a huge demand for anti-rust paints. Although traditional solvent-based anti-rust paints provide certain anti-rust effects, they have high VOC content, cause environmental pollution and harm human health. Moreover, their anti-rust service life is relatively short, which can hardly meet the dual requirements of modern industry for environmental protection and long-term performance. Current technological breakthroughs in the anti-rust paint series focus on three aspects: First, the comprehensive upgrade of environmentally friendly formulations. Water-based anti-rust paints and solvent-free anti-rust paints have become the focus of R&D. By adopting water-based resins and eco-friendly diluents, VOC content is greatly reduced below national standards, and some products even achieve zero VOC emissions while retaining excellent anti-rust performance. Second, the innovation of anti-rust technology. With the integration of nano-coating technology and cathodic protection technology, a dual mechanism of "physical isolation + electrochemical protection" is formed. The anti-rust service life is extended from the traditional 2–3 years to 5–8 years, and some high-end products can reach more than 10 years, which can effectively resist erosion from complex environments such as industrial atmosphere, marine salt spray, and acid-base media. Third, the optimization of application performance. Room-temperature curing, low-temperature curing and fast-drying products have been launched, which require no high-temperature baking. The application temperature range is expanded to -10°C to 40°C, suitable for construction in different regions and seasons. At the same time, the adhesion and flatness of the paint film are improved, and construction defects such as sagging and pinholes are reduced. In terms of application scenarios, the green anti-rust paint series has been widely used in steel structure workshops, new energy vehicle chassis, ship decks, engineering machinery shells and other fields. It not only meets the requirements of environmental policies but also reduces equipment maintenance costs and improves product competitiveness. With the deepening of environmental concepts and the advancement of industrial upgrading, the anti-rust paint series will continue to focus on the R&D of green, long-lasting and multi-functional products, providing high-quality anti-rust protection solutions for industrial equipment.
